Scotch
I have realized the main difference between expensive alcohol and the other kind. I recently bought a bottle of Famous Grouse (of which I learned from many W.E.B. Griffin novels) and had a "sample" of it this evening. I could pretty muchly drink it straight, and it was smooth. Only a little ice and water added and it was easy to drink. Compared to any run of the mill whisky, like Jack Daniels, it is night and day. When I would drink Jack with ice and water I would still very muchly "feel" the drink as I consumed it. Often it would make me react with the thought, "why hadn't I added Coke?" With the Famous Grouse that was not the case at all! To sum it up, expensive scotch is worth it if you want to enjoy the drink. If intoxication is your goal then mix it up any way you want and roll with it. Go with Famous Grouse and enjoy your drink.
